When nothing makes sense, and everything feels like it’s falling apart—

 

I know what it’s like to wonder where to begin.

Like so many others, I grew up in a family full of contradictions. There was love—but also codependency, unspoken addictions, broken communication, and insecure attachment. There were moments of connection, but also deep confusion.

Living in that push-pull environment taught me to become a survivor. And not just any survivor—a high-functioning one. I developed skills that made me successful, effective, admired. But over time, some of those very same skills—perfectionism, over-responsibility, emotional numbing—became the things I had to unlearn.

I’m still on that journey. I believe that as a therapist, I can only guide you as far as I’ve been willing to go myself.

And I’ve gone far.

Over the years, my own growth has included individual therapy, couples therapy, 12-step recovery, silent retreats, guided retreats, and some exceptional professional mentors. I believe a good therapist has a good therapist—just like a dentist shouldn’t skip cleanings. My ongoing personal work helps clear the emotional “plaque” so I can be fully present for you.
